Environmentally friendly logistics
Since our inception in 1989 we have remained conscious of the effect we have on our environment and the positive difference we can make to our communities. It is of paramount importance to the company that we are not only conscious of this, but take action to do all we can to make a positive contribution.
The positive actions that we have taken include the following:
- Since 2005 10% of our profits have been donated to environmental causes
- We became the first carbon neutral logistics company in 2005 to 2013
- Recycling of our waste
- We give priority to environmentally friendly suppliers
- Turning off electrical appliances when not in use
- We use electronic communication where ever possible to save on paper
- Promoting safe and efficient driving
- Where ever possible we utilise empty vehicles with return loads and maximise load capacity to save fuel
At Elite Eco Logistics we know it is vital that we take responsibility for our environment and believe that by taking positive action now we will inspire others to do the same. In doing so we shall leave a healthier environment for generations to come.
Our Partners
Becoming the UK’s 1st Carbon Neutral Courier proved we were prepared to take action. We also donate 10% of our profits to two worthy charities below:
Whale and Dolphin Conservation has always fought to end whaling and provide refuge for whales and dolphins. However, the new threats of marine litter and climate change, plus the continuing harm caused by fishing nets and hunting, mean they rely increasingly on the generosity of supporters and donors. The Woodland Trust aims to maintain the wonderful diversity of trees and woodlands in this country. As more of our countryside comes under threat from developers and government building initiatives, the Trust recognises the importance of trees to life as a whole and the refuge woodlands provide for our imaginations, as well as those of our children. Elite has always supported tree-planting projects, hence our financial support of the Trust’s work. Take a further look at www.woodlandtrust.org.uk
